FAITH STATEMENT...
"What
you believe determines how you think. How you think
determines how you live. How you live determines
where you'll live."
-
There
is one God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. [more]
-
Jesus
Christ is the eternal Son of God (John 8:58; 1John
5:20) who was born of the virgin (Isa. 7:14; Mat.
1:23), lived a sinless life (2Cor 5:20; 1Peter
2:22; 1Jn 3:5); died on the cross (Mat. 27:50),
was resurrected (Mat. 27:53; 1Cor. 15:21), ascended
to Heaven (Eph. 4:8-10) from where He fulfilled
His promises to His disciples (Luke 24:49) and
His warnings to those who rejected Him (Mat. 24).
He shall come to resurrect the dead (1Thess. 4;
1Cor. 15) and judge all (Matt. 25:31; Rev. 20:12),
thus destroying sin, Hell and death (Rev. 20:14).
-
The
Holy Spirit is the agent of Christ's salvation,
the enabler of sanctification, the mode of the
believer's spiritual baptism, and source of spiritual
gifts available to believers.
-
The
Word of God is identified by the Canon of Scripture,
66 books written by men but authored by God (plenary
inspiration).
-
The
baptism with the Holy Spirit is available to all
believers who seek. Speaking in unlearned tongues
is the initial public evidence of this experience.
-
Sin
is the universal condition of all people before
they receive Salvation which is by grace received
by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and evidenced
by repentance.
-
There
is one universal Church expressed in a diversity
of organisations (denominations and associations)
-
The
Devil, Satan, is a personal being whose works were
destroyed by Christ on the Cross. He is now bound
in the sense of being restricted in authority due
to Christ ending the Old Covenant.
